Special AWANA/Church Events
Throughout the year, there are certain dates where there is NO club because of a holiday. However, there are other times when a special event occurs instead of club.
Wednesday, October 30, 2024 -- TRUNK-OR-TREATTrunk-or-Treat is a community outreach event hosted by Pike Grace Brethren Church. It is a free event and is open to the public. This is a very fun event and occurs rain or shine! We hope to see you there. This event features:
- Outside in the Church Parking Lot
- Trunk-or-Treating — children visit the decorated car trunks, see/hear about about a Bible character, story or theme, and receive a small treat).
- NOTE: Trunks move INDOORS if weather is inclement!

- Inside the Church’s Family Center (GYM)
- Games — There will be various carnival-style games for all children in attendance. These are free to play.
- Refreshments — Hot dogs, Cookies,Chips,&Punch will be served.All free of charge.
- Extras — Everyone can enjoy cotton candy, S’mores, and Hot Chocolate!
The AWANA Grand Prix is an event where T&T Clubbers race small wooden cars they build (with the help of their parents). (This event is very similar to the boy scout’s Pinewood Derby). AWANA Car Kits will go on sale in the December/January time frame. Cost is $5 for each car kit.
This is a fun family event. Trophies will be awarded for both Speed and Design! Refreshments will be served.
Each year (usually in March) Grace Bible Church in Hollidaysburg, PA, hosts events where AWANA clubs compete against each other.
Next year’s events have been set for March 22th, 2025!
For Games, we need a minimum of 10 players made up of a mix of boys and girls and mixed by grade.
To be eligible, all participating clubbers MUST have completed one-half of their AWANA handbook by the date of the Quiz/Games event!
More information will follow as we get closer to this date in the club year, but please mark your calendars now.

AWANA Bible Quizzing
T&T Clubbers participate in 3 rounds of quizzing, competing against other AWANA clubbers from area churches. This is a fun event where clubbers can demonstrate what they’re learned about God’s Word!
AWANA Games
T&T Clubbers compete in 10 different AWANA Games against teams from area churches. This is a very fast pace and excting event that the T&T kids love!
Sparks-A-Rama (Sparkie Games)
Same as the AWANA Games, but designed for Sparks Clubbers only.
There is NO Club the day before Thanksgiving. For 2024, we will be off due to Thanksgiving Holiday on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. Happy Thanksgiving!
There is also NO Club the week of Christmas and New Year. This club year, we will be off due to the Holidays Wednesday December 25, 2024 and Wednesday January 1, 2025. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
