ALIVE

Children’s Church program that is upbeat with singing and Bible lesson directed at a kids age level during the Sunday Morning Worship service on Sundays mornings. This is for children in grades 1 – 6. We also offer other Children’s Church classes for children younger – including nursery for your infant and toddler so you can enjoy Worship.

Men’s Group

On Monday nights a group of men meet at 7pm. This group gives guys an opportunity to gather together to grow in what it truly means to “Act like men!” (1 Cor. 16:13-14). This group enjoys sharing time in God’s Word, life experiences, service projects, and good food with one another.

Women of Grace

On the second Thursday of each month a group of women meet for Women of Grace. These ladies gather to look into God’s Word, hear from others, and also to serve in different capacities. This is a time to find encouragement and others to grow with.

Ladies Dinner Club

At the end of each month, ladies gather at a different restaurant to encourage one another and share in friendship.

AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed)

Awana is a worldwide, nonprofit, non-denominational ministry focused on providing Bible-based evangelism and discipleship programs for children. Awana gives children the opportunity to know, love and serve Jesus, no matter their background. Click here for more information about the Awana Organization. At Pike GBC, our Awana program is divided into 4 main clubs for children ages 18 months through the six grade. We also have curriculum for junior- and high school-age children as a self-study program. See more information about our programs here.

Marksman Ministries

During the months of June through August, kids (ages 6-12) are given hands-on experience and the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of marksmanship with a gun and a bow while at the same time receiving essential truths to live by from God’s Word. Each night is also ended with hot dogs, chips, and drinks around a campfire. All of this takes place at “The Good Place” (off Route 22 West).

Vacation Bible School

The church is transformed and leaders are recruited to take kids (ages 2-6th grade) on a Bible learning adventure for one week out of the summer!

Camp Mantowagan

Pike Church loves summer camp at Camp Mantowagan! We have been proud supporters of this camp for many years and do what we can to make sure kids and teenagers get the opportunity to go to a week of camp every summer. For more information, visit: www.campmantowagan.com

Christ-Centered Basketball Camp

Every summer we look to encourage young athletes by providing a FREE day camp for 1st-6th graders focused on teaching basic basketball skills and encouraging the sacrifice it takes to succeed, not only as a player but also in life. All instruction is done by coaches, former college athletes, and current high school players. As part of the day Kids receive a shirt, bracelet, do drills, compete for prizes, and showcase all that they learned for parents/guardians.

Outdoor Extravaganza

On the second Saturday in August we put together a professional 3D Archery Shoot for bow hunters and enthusiasts. Our course is comprised of 25 animal targets of all shapes and sizes. The competition is separated into 3 divisions with a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize in each. Shooters are also given the opportunity to win door prizes along with a grand prize. With the Shoot, there are also games provided for younger kids to compete in and win prizes plus we end the day with a picnic. This is something to bring the whole family to enjoy.

Trunk or Treat

Every October, we set up an interactive walk-through of Bible stories and themes for kids to walk through for candy and treats. This night also includes games and activities for everyone. Don’t miss out on this FREE, fun, fall gathering for the whole family!

Thanksgiving Meal

Thanksgiving is a time to share in gratitude and good food. We like to do that with our community with a giant free Thanksgiving meal the week before the holiday. We’d love to serve you and sit with you at this get together of friends and family.

Interfaith Community Food Pantry

We serve with other local churches to get food out to those in need. The distribution location rotates throughout the year with Pike as one of those points. We are always accepting donations to help in this effort.

These are just a few of the ministries and opportunities we have going on a Pike. As you will discover at Pike there are also many other things to be involved in throughout the year from Bible studies to service projects. If you’d like any more information on what is listed here, please feel free to call our church office at 814-749-8721 (Mon-Fri 9am-3pm). The best way to find out though about any of these things is just to show up!
